To all RIBI based Rotary Scholars

Not long now until our gathering on 28th September in London where we are all looking forward to meeting you and you to one another .
For those of you that have registered already please let me know if you have had a change of plan and can no longer attend. We have a tight budget and do not want to waste money on unnecessary food etc. If you are attending and have any food allergies and have not recorded them can I ask you to update your profile accordingly on the event web site.
For those of you that have not registered but intend joining us can I ask you to register now on the web site http://rotarylinkgbi.org.uk and at the latest before before the 23rd September when bookings will close. This is to give us time to make the preparations for the day.
For information I attach an outline programme for the day, please ensure you arrive early.
Hopefully your grant or host Rotary district will cover your travel costs to the event  but if you need assistance towards these please complete the attached travel claim form and ensure you attach a receipt for the monies you spent, no receipt no payment! Please ensure I have the claim by 14th October latest. Note this will only be a part assistance on a sliding scale basis depending where you are coming from

To all Rotary Global Scholars in RIBI (Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland)

Dear Rotary Scholars,

Some of you may have received the following information direct from your Host Rotary Club or your District Rotary Foundation Chair and have already registered for the Orientation Seminar and I apologise for any duplication.

As the District Rotary Foundation Chairman for Rotary District 1120 I would like to invite you to our Orientation Seminar 2019, which we are organising this year, (some of you may know this previously as the "Link Weekend" this is now a one day event). This is a special opportunity for all Rotary Scholars studying in Great Britain & Ireland during the 2019-20 academic year.

The event  will take place on 28th September 2019 at the Waterloo Action Centre near Waterloo Station London, England at 10:30 for 11.00 hrs where you will have the chance to network with fellow scholars during a day of organized presentations and activities. Full Directions to the venue and a programme of the days activities are available on the Orientation Seminar website. We have chosen this venue for its central location for the majority of scholars and hopefully easy access for all of you to make the return journey in a day. Rail travel will likely be the sensible option and if traveling from outside London we would suggest using Trainline to purchase your tickets. We will offer £20 towards your travel cost but some Host Clubs and Rotary Districts will be making their own special travel arrangements for you, so please liaise with them. For those of you in Scotland and Ireland or in locations which make it impossible for you to make the return trip in a day please contact us and we will arrange one night overnight accommodation for you.

You can Register Here for the event please register before 23rd September to give us time to organise food etc. If you have any queries please contact us at  enquiry@rotarylinkgbi.org.uk .

I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to attend this event which will significantly enhance your Global Scholar experience, I look froward to meeting you there.

I hope you have a great time during your stay with us

Kind regards,

Ray Dixon
